This page was originally created in the summer of 2006, when my original domain, Asmodean.net, was in use. Of course, it has not been updated much since then, but that is beside the point. Now the page lives on Gallegos47.com despite not receiving new updates. It's more of an archive page to showcase many audio game recordings made between 2006 and 2009. Everyone seems to now be on Facebook and Twitter and may not have time to listen to old recordings. If you do however, here they are. I find it truly amazing how many things have changed since these were made. Of course, things talked a bout in 2006 most likely don't apply now in my current life, but that's what archives are for, right?
Skip all the mumbo jumbo and go directly to the Table of Contents
There is over 1 GB of audio here for you to download and enjoy. To make things easier, I added the month and year in each section to indicate when the information was last updated. This way you can do a search for 2006, 2007, ETC to quickly reach the parts you want. Just so you are not too disappointed, most everything found here is still from 2006 with the exception of the iPhone and adult interactive fiction sections. As of the end of 2012, the most recent entries are only in the iPhone section.
...And now, here is the original text of this page as written in July 2006.
Here I talk about the games I like to play as well as offer
links to their web sites. You can also listen to reviews/demos of certain
games which I've recorded over the last few years.
If any of the games mentioned have audio reviews or demonstrations, they can be found in the
Game Audio section of the site.
The games mentioned here are in no particular order. So if you are
a game author reading this page and your game is listed last, or not at all, please
don't take it personal. It means that I either don't have your game, don't like your game,
or don't know about your game.
Please note that while I do my best to insure files are safe and will not blow up your PC, I cannot be held responsible or accountable for any damages inflicted to you or any of your family or property caused by downloading anything from my site. Also, since this runs on a private server it's not guaranteed to be up 100% of the time. If you want to read the entire disclaimer, please do so at your own risk. I currently have five BSC Games titles.
Of these five, I'd have to say that Pipe2 Blast Chamber is my favorite.
In fact, I recorded an audio review
for it in the summer of 2004 which you can listen to from the
Game Audio section.
The other titles I have are Classic Troopanum, Classic Pipe, Troopanum 2,
and Hunter.
One of the interesting things about Classic Troopanum 1.6 is that the sounds are almost completely different than previous versions. I did however, manage to keep an old copy of the sounds for those of you who like them. Please note that you cannot change the sounds of Troopanum 2.0.
In the summer of 2006 my oldest son Tristian, (who was 10 years old at the time), beat Classic Troopanum for the first time. This was a great thing for him since he had been playing the game since it had come out several years before. We were able to get a recording of this game and have made it available for anyone to listen to from the Game Audio section.
Speaking of recordings. July of 2006 was a rather busy month for recording games. First off, I was not employed full time. Second, Denver Colorado was enjoying weather well over 100 degrees for most of July and august. Consequently we stayed inside a lot. This meant we had time to play lots of games. We did so much recording that I ended up putting all the game related audio on its own page.
All BSC games offer many hours of replay value and are definitely worth purchasing. BSC Games also has a number of free games as well as some educational ones. So go check out their site for more information.

If I have my information correct, Dan used to work together with
Justin from BSC Games. I think he helped make Troopanum and Pipe. In any
case, for a while he had his own games company located at Dan Z Games
which I don't believe exists any more. For a time he offered a game called Super Deekout for purchase. Now this game is free. I must confess
that I was never all that good at this game. I should have probably recorded some audio of me playing, but I didn't. So there.

The games offered by Draconis Entertainment
have an interesting history. They were first part of ESP Softworks,
then they moved onto Adora Entertainment. Finally they are a
part of Draconis Entertainment. Hopefully they will stay there
from now on. The titles I have are; Monkey Business, ESP Pinball Classic,
Aliens In The Outback, ESP Pinball Xtreme, Dynaman, and Ten Pin Alley. If I
had time I'd record reviews for all of these. Somewhere in my collection of recordings is one of Dynaman, but I can't seem to find it now.
If you have a copy, let me know so I can put it up on the site.
Although I've had most of these games for a
long time, they are fun to play over and over again.

One of the first GMA Games I
purchased was Shades of Doom 1.0. In fact, the same day I got the registration code I
played it non-stop for the next sixteen hours. I Did not even go to
work the following day. If my memory serves me, that would have been some time in 2002. When Shades of Doom 1.2 was released on Saturday November 26th, 2005,
I immediately recorded a walkthrough for it so people could check out my particular
style of gameplay. (2013 update)I had originally offered the audio files in 3 different formats for no particular reason other than to take up space. However I've now gotten rid of the WMA and OGG formats and only offer the MP3 ones.
Visit the Game Audio
section to grab these and become a better Shades of Doom player.
A few other GMA games I have are Lone Wolf, GMA Tank Commander, and Pacman Talks. At first I did not play Lone Wolf very much because I didn't think I'd get into a strategy style game. Once I gave it a chance, I really got into it and even wrote up some missions for it which you can download from their site. GMA Tank Commander and Pacman are very good games which have gotten many hours of play. If I'm in a destructive mood I'll gladly sit down for several hours of tank fighting. I'll talk about Pacman more later on in this page.
GMA Games now has several new games which I don't have unfortunately. This is not due to losing interest in them, but due to not having time to play many new games. In fact, there are quite a bit of new games out now from other companies which I don't have for this same reason.

The 2 games I've played from L-Works
are Super Liam and Judgment Day. Super Liam is an awesome sidescroller adventure game with very
cool background music and sound effects. When the game was released I
didn't even bother with the demo. Instead, I went ahead and purchased
the full game immediately. I also recorded an audio review, which is available in the
Game Audio section.
The other audio game, Judgment Day is also an excellent play and yours truly is even a voice in it. However I don't have any audio recordings of it, sadly.
In Judgment Day, you play the part of a guy who has to save the world from the invading enemy forces. I'd like to say it's just another
classic space invaders type of game, but it's honestly much more. You will have to check it out to see what I mean.

I have 2 games from PCS Games and they both use the GMA Game Engine. They are Pacman Talks and Sarah.
Both are excellent games which offer unique challenges.
I've always been a Pacman fan. So when I feel
like taking out some aggression on something due to life's troubles, I play
this game and eat as many ghosts as I can. The Sarah game was originally supposed to be a Pacman part 2 of sorts.
However it has evolved into a game set in the Harry Potter world. I have yet to beat it, so go ahead and laugh at me.
I purchased the Sarah game in March of 2007 when I first moved to Indiana and have yet to give it the attention it deserves.
From time to time when I have a few moments, I play it and try to get further in it, but I have a ways to go.

One really cool game was created by
Playing in the Dark
and is called Top Speed 2.
This is a very realistic racing game with many features including;
making your own custom cars and tracks, racing against computer-generated
players, racing against your own time, and the best one, racing against
other live players. When playing with live players you can either connect
to someone running a server or you can host your own server. For a while back in 2006 I
had a specific page for game racing where I would post unique stats of the game.
However due to the events of the last few years and lack of time, I have not played this game much. In fact, I am way out of touch with what's going on with this company. I think that a newer version of this game has been released, but I have no further information.

Interactive fiction games have always been fun to play. Many people still call them text adventures. Regardless of what you call them, there are a branch of these games for adults.
This branch of interactive fiction games are called AIF games which stands for Adult Interactive Fiction games.
Some are light adult topics such as dating situations, while others are a lot more explicit. Most however, are the puzzle-solving kind and very fun and stimulating to play.
There are better sites which offer even more information than this and even downloads to many of the AIF games which have been released over the years. So why do I have an AIF section on here? Simply to promote the 2 AIF games I wrote. In late 2006, I began writing a game where the player had to, umm, perform various tasks before his wedding can take place. Since this was my first project, the game grew as I learned how to do neat things in ADRIFT, the game engine I was using. Eventually the game grew larger than what I had ever imagined and I found that writing a game was a lot more than simply having the idea. After a couple of years, I took a break from it and instead, wrote a much smaller game which I called Riding Home. This game is about a blind guy who is riding home from work and his adventure with a girl named Krystal. The object of the game is for you, the player to find a photographer for your best friend's wedding. Yes, the wedding from the game which took me over 3 years to complete. Riding Home was entered into the 2008 AIF mini-comp where it took third place. You can consider both games to be a part of the same theme, although you need not play one to enjoy the other.
Once Riding Home was out of my hands, I took up the task of completing the wedding game which continued to grow in size. I ended up renaming it to Last Week Before the Wedding and released it in the fall of 2009. It was entered into the contest for AIF games of 2008 and 2009 and came in second place. Considering it was my first real game, I didn't think it did too bad. Sure, Riding Home came out first, but I had begun working on Wedding since way before that. Feel free to download these games and play them to see if you can beat them. Remember that they are for adults only however.

I made the jump to the iPhone in July of 2010 and have been liking it for the most part.
Of course, due to my gaming nature, most of what I've done on the iPhone (apart from making an occasional phone call),
has been to play games. Some of them are audio-based while others are word-based. A few of my favorites are
Aurify, Beep Beep, Simon Sings, and Zany Touch on the audio side. On the word and text side, I like Moxie, Moxie 2, Hangman, and Choice of the Dragon.
You can find an audio recording I did for Moxie, Beep Beep, and Zany Touch in the audio section of the site.
This recording is the first one I've done where I play games on the iPhone. Time permitting, I'll do more in the near future. (December 2012)Many things have changed since I was an iPhone novice in 2010.
I now play many other kinds of games, and use many different kind of apps. Since this is about games, I have now made available a couple of audio reviews of some of my current favorite games from Storm8>. So, check those out if you wish.

Apart from computer games, I like playing board games at home such as
Battleship, Connect Four, Bop-It, and Monopoly. I realize there are computer
versions of these games out there, but something about playing these games
as board games or as electronic games is more attractive. Speaking of Bop-It,
I have several versions of this game as
it has progressed. In 2003 I recorded an
audio review
demonstrating how to play the Extreme 2 version of the game.
Another one of my favorite hand-held games is Simon Says. In fact, I've
had a Simon of one kind or another since I was a kid. The Simon games can
really help with memory exercises. So everyone should have one.
